Ultimate 2021 Gluten-Free Holiday Gift Guide

Gluten Free Holiday Gift Guide

I am a little obsessive when it comes to my kitchen (and the equipment that I use). Because I spend so much time there, both for work and for play, I have OPINIONS as to what tools everyone should have at their disposal to both make your life easier, and make cooking in general a more pleasurable experience. This (not-just-for) gluten-free holiday gift guide is for seasoned home cooks, but also great for those just starting out. Because newbs deserve sharp knives too.

Here’s my 2021 Gluten-Free Holiday Gift Guide for your favorite chef (or chef-in-the-making).

Le Creuset 8 Qt. Dutch Oven

She is the Grand Dame in my kitchen, an elegant workhorse that I use for soups and stocks, roasted chicken, braises, chilis, and stews. Le Creuset is the OG enameled cast iron pot and they are as gorgeous as they are durable. With a sale price of around $300, she’s not cheap, but with proper care, she’ll last a lifetime.

Lodge Pre-Seasoned Cast Iron Double Dutch Oven

This Dutch oven is perfect for those who got on the pandemic sourdough bandwagon (and are miraculously still on it). It can take the heat, and creates a good seal to lock in the steam and for that gorgeous, crisp crust. At less than $50, it’s a bargain compared to other brands.

Scanpan Knives

Scanpan knives are one of the best discoveries I made in the last year. They are lightweight, sharp as hell (and re-sharpen easily), and feel great in the hand. I have many different types of knives in my drawer, and some of the most expensive ones too, but my Scanpans are the knives I reach for on the daily. An 8 piece block set will run you only $156, but they can also be purchased separately. I’m a huge fan of the chef’s knife which would make an excellent stocking stuffer.

McFadden Farm Fresh Bay Leaf Wreath

This is the second year I’ve ordered a wreath from McFadden Farms in Northern California. They are certified organic and smell amazing when fresh. They dry beautifully too – I kept mine hanging on the pantry door for most of the year! Anytime a recipe calls for a bay leaf, simply pluck one from the back and add to the pot.  $40

Nordic Ware Bundt Pan

How many bundt pans does a person need? Don’t answer that. A good quality bundt pan is an ESSENTIAL item for your favorite baker. Nordic Ware is the leader of the pack, producing gorgeous cakes that slide out easily. Which reminds me, have you made my Gluten Free Eggnog Cake yet? At time of publishing, they are on sale for $31, which sounds like a great deal to me!

Wilton Cake Decorating Icing Spatula Set

Whether or not you are into cake decorating, offset spatulas have a million uses in the kitchen. Yes, they help smooth frosting on cakes to give a more professional look, but they are also great for spreading brownie batter evenly into a pan or peanut butter on bread. I find myself turning to mine often. $19 for three.

Bormioli Rocco Bodega Collection Glassware

I am in love with these sleek, stackable glasses from Bormioli Rocco. They are beautiful in their simplicity, super durable, and perfect for everyday use. I have all three sizes (small, medium, and large). The small ones are great for scotch on the rocks, or to use for nut dishes etc. when entertaining.

Cannelle et Vanille Bakes Simple: A New Way to Bake Gluten-Free

This cookbook is on my own Christmas wishlist. Aran Goyoaga is a genius when it comes to gluten-free baking. Her blog, Cannelle et Vanille, is a gorgeous work of art where she shares her recipes, photographs and musings. Her first cookbook, Cannelle et Vanille: Nourishing, Gluten-Free Recipes for Every Meal and Mood, taught me how to make the most amazing gluten-free sourdough and biscuits (and so much more). I consider it to be an essential cookbook, whether or not you are gluten-free. I’m betting her second book will be as well.

This is my hands down #1 favorite holiday scent and it ALMOST makes kitchen cleanup a pleasurable experience. And, during the holidays, there’s a lot of that!

A Girl Defloured earns revenue in a few different ways; I have occasional sponsored post and I also earn an affiliate commission on the sales of products I link to— there are a few of those links in this post. The only items that I feature are those that I use on a regular basis and that I truly love. I earn a small commission on your purchase, but you don’t pay any more than retail price. This allows me to share my recipes with you and keeps me well fed. THANK YOU!
